The Odeon at South Market

New Orleans-based Domain Companies opened The Odeon at South Market in January 2021. Rising 30 stories above downtown, it’s the tallest building to be built in New Orleans over the last 30 years. The 414,000 square foot building features 271 apartment units, 200 parking spaces and 12,000 square feet of retail space. There’s also 30,000 square feet of amenities including a pool deck, an outdoor lounge, a fitness center, and an art collection.

The Odeon’s collection of apartments and penthouses feature warm, modern interiors, thoughtful, sustainable design, as well as breathtaking views of the New Orleans skyline. Moses Engineers provided all of the mechanical and electrical designs for the project. The architect was Humphreys & Partners Architects. The general contractor was Woodward Design+Build. And the interior designer was Farouki Farouki.

Services Provided by Moses Engineers for The Odeon at South Market

Moses Engineers provided the electrical engineering designs for The Odeon. Features of the electrical systems include generous use of convenience outlets and upgraded, energy efficient lighting. This corresponds with the high-end features of the building. Another feature included in Moses’ design was individual apartment metering to allow each tenant to control the amount of energy used within each demise. Moses Engineers also provided designs for the fire alarm system. This included providing locations of all smoke detectors and following all fire rating requirements.
