MSJE Grabs National Honor

USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice travel awards honors The Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience in the “Best New Attraction” category. The MSJE opened in May 2021 here in New Orleans at 818 Howard Ave. Since opening it has become a popular tourist destination and an important education facility. It’s also a vibrant center for cultural exploration and understanding.

Moses Engineers provided the MSJE the design of their interior lighting, exhibit-theatre lighting, and lighting control systems. We also designed their power systems, standby power generator system, cooling/heating system, and interior plumbing systems. Moses Engineers also designed modifications to the existing building fire protection system and expand their previous fire alarm system.

The only Louisiana attraction and highest-ranking museum to be honored in the “Best New Attraction” category in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice travel awards, the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience may not be somewhere you’re familiar with yet as it just opened last May, but if it’s not, it should be.
