Virgin Hotels New Orleans

Construction commenced in 2019 on the $80 million 14 story, 146,000 square foot Virgin Hotel in the Central Business District of New Orleans. Virgin Hotels is the brainchild of billionaire Richard Branson. The facility will include 225 “chambers”, flexible ballroom facilities, restaurants, bars, a rooftop pool, gym, dedicated meeting and event spaces, The Shag Room Lounge, Commons Club and Funny Library Coffee Shop. Moses Engineers provided electrical engineering designs for the building’s power and back of house lighting systems. Power design includes all incoming power and distributions throughout the building’s apartments and commercial venues. We also designed an emergency generator for Life Safety (elevators, lighting, smoke purge fans) and IT systems.

The hotel is slated to open in 2021.
