The revamped entrance to the Aquarium of the Americas and Insectarium presents an enchanting welcome for visitors, embodying the organization’s commitment to conservation. A translucent catwalk offers captivating river views, while the vibrant lobby showcases green walls, artistic murals, and an LED installation detailing the Audubon Institute’s mission.
Spanning 17,000 square feet, the Insectarium features live exhibits, interactive displays, the Bug Appetite Café, and a butterfly garden, underscoring the vital role of insects in Earth’s ecosystem. Moses Engineers leveraged their expertise to meticulously design an innovative air conditioning system for the renovated space, precisely calibrated to foster an ideal environment for the butterflies. Their meticulous engineering ensures optimal temperature and humidity levels, mirroring the natural habitat of these delicate creatures and prioritizing their well-being, thus enhancing the immersive and educational experience of the newly enhanced Butterfly Garden.
The exterior, adorned with bird-safe glass and illuminated by soaring crystal and colored LED lights, stands out as a premier attraction along the New Orleans riverwalk. These renovations, which encompass all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering Services provided by Moses Engineers, contribute to the revitalization of the Canal Street Waterfront, enriching the city’s visitor experience.
